Enterprise Web Services

Chain-wide reporting and administration

Indyme’s Enterprise Web Services (EWS) provides the means to efficiently manage dozens or even thousands of store-level Indyme systems throughout a chain.

EWS functions include three (3) basic categories:

1. Systems Administration
User interfaces for entry and distribution of system variables to one store, groups of stores, or an entire chain. The most common system administration tasks include:

    • Store hours
    • Telephone auto attendant greeting messages
    • Scheduled promotional messages
    • Added call box messages or other event alarms

2. Data Gathering and Reporting
Data is retained on virtually every event processed by Indyme store-level systems including shopper call box requests, cashier requests, inbound telephone calls, refrigeration malfunctions, unexpected door openings, and many more. Much can be learned from this information; more importantly, the resulting reports can foster ongoing operational improvements to customer service, productivity, and other areas throughout the chain. EWS gathers retained data chain-wide and processes it to create a variety of reports that can be distributed and/or posted for review.

3. Diagnostics and Monitoring
Enterprise connectivity provides a very efficient path for monitoring store-level systems and some end devices. EWS and related diagnostic functions can often be used to remotely detect and remedy system malfunctions or other issues at stores.

EWS configurations often vary substantially to meet the unique operational and technical requirements of each retail chain. Some chains elect to have Indyme perform some or even all of the administration and report management tasks as an ongoing service. Others choose to take on some or all of these responsibilities. Whatever the strategy needed by your chain, Indyme commits to making it work for you.
