The Connect LX is a communications management routing platform (the communications "brain") that is able to accept input triggers and output to an appropriate device, location or person within a retail environment.  The Connect LX has replaced the former MTS communications routing product.  Indyme is a developer and manufacturer of retail-focused call boxes. 

A press of Indyme’s shopper call boxes or any other event that is triggered within the retail environment (phone call, kiosk request, emergency door is opened, locked merchandise area is tampered with) to communicate this event to store employee devices (PDA, phone, P.A., 2-way radio) the input device needs a "brain" to decipher where to send that communication to a particular device.  Hence, the Connect LX.

Formally, the MTS product acted as the communication routing "brain".  However, with its massive size, technology limitations and less than desirable operating components, Indyme saw a need to address and improve these product attributes.

The improvements to the product were drastic, yet impressive.

Environmentally speaking, the new Connect LX platform consumes a mere 2.4 watts of power from the previous output of 88 watts of the MTS - consumes 97% less power.  Furthermore, the new Connect LX is RHOS-compliant and utilizes environmentally-friendlier computer components.

In addition, the Connect LX boasts of a 90% reduction in unit size and 77% reduction in unit weight which saves 3U of valuable rack space. It carries forward 10 years of proprietary code base and mixes it with the latest in open source technology.  This technology creates a platform that utilizes Indyme's unique retail-centric hardware and creates a system with 5 times the applications power (while using only 3% of the electrical power).

The technology advancements of this unit far surpasses its predecessor.  The Connect LX brings VOIP technology into the shopping experience and was designed specifically for wireless operation at every level (this generation of this product is 75% faster in its wireless capabilities).
