RoveCom Blu™

It is a 2-way radio... a pager... a wireless phone!

Imagine one small, inexpensive Bluetooth® headset device – just like the one you probably use with your mobile phone – that does the job of a 2-way radio, a pager, and even a wireless telephone! Best of all, these small devices permit hands free operation so your staff can communicate with each other while continuing to perform tasks throughout your facility

The ideal work group communication tool
RoveCom Blu™ enables a mobile work group – such as sales associates, a kitchen team, or even an entire staff – to quickly communicate and coordinate to better serve customers and perform other tasks. It is similar to 2-way radios except users speak freely without needing to use their hands to repeatedly press a “Talk” button – and without the weight, bulk, and headset wires of a radio.

Perhaps your facility has more than one workgroup, each of which primarily communicates
among its members. With RoveCom Blu™, numerous workgroups can each have their own
private communication channel.

Add the magic of “voice command” – and connect with anyone!
The voice command option enables RoveCom BluTM users to connect with other specific users or workgroups by speaking a command, such as “Call Manager”.

Telephone integration connects you to the world!
Unlike 2-way radios, Bluetooth® devices and RoveCom BluTM are full duplex. This means users speak and hear at the same time, which is why it is not necessary to press a TALK button when speaking. This makes the system suitable for connecting users with telephone callers.

For example, if a team member needs to speak with the manager, who carries a wireless telephone, then the command “Call Manager” could connect that user’s Bluetooth® device to the manager’s phone anywhere in the facility or, for that matter, anywhere in the world! Inbound telephone calls can be directed to RoveCom BluTM users as well, enabling a user to answer phone calls from anywhere in the facility.

 

Alarm Notification – Important messaging to RoveCom Blu™ for action!
By integrating with Indyme’s Connect™ or RoveCom Event Response System (ERS)™ platforms, RoveCom Blu™ can also notify appropriate team members of events needing attention.

Alarm notification may include such events as:

  • A customer or cashier pressing a button to summon assistance
  • Unexpected opening of a perimeter door
  • Refrigeration unit failing

Voice messages for each of these events, and dozens more, are instantly delivered to one or more team members on their Bluetooth® -enabled headset.

headsets, and heavy-duty industrial headsets suitable for rugged and noisy environments.


How RoveCom Blu™ works
Did you know...Bluetooth devices can be used throughout a facility? RoveCom Blu™ accomplishes this by seamlessly handing off voice connections from one Bluetooth Access Point to another as a user travels throughout the facility. Access Point quantity and placement for a given facility is dependent on the types and quantities of devices being used as well as facility shape and construction. An Indyme Solutions Sales Engineer will help specify the most appropriate configuration for your application.

RoveCom Blu™ Access Points in your facility provide Bluetooth® connectivity and
seamless handoffs as users travel through the facility.

Integrating RoveCom Blu™ with an Indyme Event Response System, such as Connect™ or RoveCom ERSTM, enables users to hear alarm triggers, such as “Assistance needed at delivery door”, from a variety of sources (such as call boxes, door monitors, POS terminals, and much more). Some configurations also include task reminders such as “Restroom inspection time”.
