Scheduled Messaging
Automatic audio messages on your schedule
Audio messages loaded into any Connect Platform can be set to play using three schedule types:
- Interval Messages – Typically used for promotional messaging to shoppers. Your messages play in sequence one after the other separated by a fixed interval of time. Each message can be scheduled to start / stop playing on specified dates and only during specified hours.
- Day/Time Messages – Each of these messages can be scheduled to broadcast at one or more specified days of the week and times of the day. Can be used to send reminder messages to the store team over 2-way radios or other routes. For example “Break time for afternoon shift A” or “Order entry cutoff for delivery tomorrow is in ten minutes”.
- Store Hours Offset Messages – These messages play at a specified offset time before or after store opening or closing. Typically used for punctual and professional store closing announcements at the end of the day and for pre-opening announcements to store team members (such as, “10 minutes to opening – please ensure boxes are cleared from all aisles”).
Broadcast your scheduled messages to any store destination There are many ways scheduled messages can work for your stores – and many destinations to which you may choose to route messages. In addition to overhead speakers (including by PA zone, if so equipped), these messages can route to other audio destinations such as 2-way radios and wireless phones

Manage your messages at store or enterprise level If desired, store managers can be empowered to record and load scheduled messages for their store. This can be very powerful for promoting local special events, distressed merchandise, and other information of interest. Messages can also be professionally recorded and efficiently distributed to some or all stores from corporate offices using Indyme’s Enterprise Web Services.

Chain-wide scheduled messaging administration is one tool available through Indyme Enterprise Web Services that efficiently updates one store, a group of stores, or stores throughout the chain.
