Switch Contact and Door Alarm Modules

The Indyme suite of event trigger modules accept switch contact inputs from store systems, push buttons, magnetic reed switches, and other devices. These triggers typically represent events of interest such as receiving door requests, refrigeration failure, opening of a secure perimeter door, and more. Whatever the event – and the possibilities are virtually endless – once detected, instant notification of the event is messaged to appropriate team members for action.

Switch contacts trigger notification messages that can route to virtually any type of communication devices used by retail stores

Typical scenarios for events that might be triggered through wireless modules include:

Receiving Door
One or more weatherproof buttons install outside the receiving door; when pressed, notification is sent to one or more team members; escalation messages broadcast if necessary; responding associate presses RESET on the module located next to the inside of the receiving door (or the system can be configured to automatically reset when the receiving door opens).

Perimeter Door Opening Alarm
When a perimeter door unexpectedly opens, a notification message immediately transmits to overhead speakers, 2-way radios, or other wireless devices.
Products: Reed Switch Modules for placing a wireless connectivity module at each door.
Product: Quad Contact Input Module for tying into relay contacts on the burglar alarm panel.

Late Night Entries
When late night shoppers enter a 24-hour store, a chime or message to overhead speakers, 2-way radios, or other devices keeps team members aware. If also monitoring perimeter doors, Quad Contact Input Module for tying into relay contacts on the burglar alarm panel.

Refrigeration / Freezer Doors Left Open
If a large stocking door is left open longer than a defined time interval, a notification message is sent to one or more team members; reminders can be sent until the door is closed; reports reveal stores with compliance issues.

Panic Buttons
A hidden panic button tied to a Single Contact Input Module can be discreetly pressed to trigger notification to one or more team members.

Tamper Detection Alarms
The unexpected opening of a locked cabinet, disconnection of a display camera from its monitoring tether, or holding open a merchandise access door for too long – events of this type can be tied to a Single Contact Input Module to trigger notification to one or more team members.

Refrigeration, HVAC, & System Failures
Many store systems provide a switch contact change when a failure or alarm condition is detected; by linking these to a Single Contact Input Module or a Quad Contact Input Module - these events can be immediately relayed to team members.

Rest Room Inspection
Clean, supplied restrooms are a key component to overall customer satisfaction. A traffic-based task system using door openings results in more frequent inspections when rest rooms are heavily used. This ensures restroom maintenance while balancing overall team productivity. By including a task completion feedback method (such as a hidden button), management reports reveal how each store in the chain performs in the timely completion of this critical task. This can be achieved using a Single Contact Input Module or other approaches.
