Getting more from your wireless devices

Indyme’s growing QuickConnect™ suite uses integration and downloadable software clients to empower wireless device users. The diversity of potential applications is nearly endless but most involve one or more of these and other key features:

• Alarm Notification and Interaction – Instant notification of events such as an unexpected door opening, shopper or cashier requesting assistance, refrigeration failure, etc. are delivered directly to the wireless device. The user can accept action responsibility; refer it to others; or indicate a response resolving the matter.

• Authorization and Control – Managers can efficiently respond to event and situational notifications that remotely control store system functions. For example, a manager receives notification that a company truck is arriving at the delivery dock; if this is expected, manager can respond with a command that temporarily disables the delivery dock door alarm and triggers notification to appropriate personnel to go to the dock.

• Disparate Device Intercommunication – Users of various wireless devices, such as 2-way radios and wireless phones or mobile computing devices, are able to communicate with each other.

Example Application: How QuickConnect™ speeds checkout support
A cashier presses a POS button requesting manager assistance; a message immediately transmits to the Manager on Duty wireless device; the MOD is busy and unable to assist so, with a quick button press, declines the request; one or more back up managers are then notified of the request; when one of them accepts the task, the request is cancelled. Response time is logged for reporting. This is a typical operating sequence that can be applied to many types of store events.
